Cardinal Sin - Claw Ring - Sterling Silver - Handmade

This ring is sculpted from two pairs of cardinal claws cast in sterling silver. The claws themselves are the band, front and back, so it cannot have material added to or removed from it. It can be opened or closed more however, so can accommodate a range of sizes. As pictured, the ring is sized to a 7.5. The claws will overlap more or less for smaller or larger sizes.

The silver is blackened and lightly polished in the highlights to add contrast.

The original claws that I used for my molds were pewter legs used by woodcarvers, so no real birds were involved in the making of this ring.
